Realized I didn't address your final 2 questions.
Yes you can run halogen headlights provided you don't run extremely
higher wattages than standard. If you mean can you replace lights with
off the shelf replacements, I've been doing this since I got my car.
It appears your original Lucus electronic ignition system has been
replaced. If you are using the stock Lucus coil, you should be able to
run the sports coil just fine. If you are running someting different,
I'd check with Crane/Allison.
