RE: TR6 Tach cable problems

I've tried a few different lube approaches (see my orig post) with no effect.  
Some one else suggested that the inner cable could be too long...sounds 
possible.

   Keith,
Did you lube the cable before you installed it?  If not pull the cable
and lube it with a light grease or a heavy grade of oil.
This should solve the grinding.
