I have had success removing a tar-like undercoating with gel paint remover. The expensive stuff from Home Depot ca. $18/gallon works best. Leave it on for about 20 minutes and then wire brush off or use scotchbrite pads/steel wool. A brass wire brush fitting for a power drill works great if you dont spray the crap all over yourself... use eye protection. -KevinO CT74,666 |
