I'm not sure it's a whole bunch short of welding the doors shut, but a 6- or
8- point roll cage can do wonders.  Volume 3 "Performance Preparation" of
TRSC's Tech Talk series has a short article by Ken Gillanders on both
re-inforcing the frame, and on building a roll cage to increase rigidity.
