Brian,
no, this was part five of a six part series on restoring a TR6. Granted it's
more on strengthening the normal weak spots on the frame, Steering rack
mounts, Front suspension mounts, Trailing arm outrigger (one I intend to
use), and the differential mounts (they use the normal one and then another
with a different shape - have to read the article again to see where it
fits, it's been a while).

That particular article provided some good tips for strengthening the TR-2/4
chassis,
but won't apply to the TR-4A/6.  On the early chassis, the 'X' brace is
constructed of
'C' shaped channels rather than a box rail.  By boxing the rails of the
brace, you can
add strength to the early chassis without adding too much weight.  The later
IRS
chassis is already fully boxed and won't benefit from the types of mods
discussed in
the article.  BTW, the article appeared in GRM's Sept/Oct '98 issue.
