I used a Turbo Pre-Luber several years ago on a Thunderbird Turbo coupe.
Never had any trouble with it in the 3 years or so that I kept the car. At
that time they made 2 versions. The Turbo version would start pumping when
the ignition was turned on. The time that it would run for was adjustable.
It would also run when again when the ignition was turned off to deep oil
flowing to the turbo center bearing.
The non-turbo version would just run when the ignition was turned on and not
when the ignition was turned off.
It would pick up oil from the provided drain plug that was modified to
provide a fitting for a hose and send the oil into a tee fitted at the oil
pressure sender unit.
I added a valve onto the output that would allow me to normally have the oil
flow to the engine and by turning the valve selector direct the oil to a
different outlet hose that I would use to drain the oil. This worked very
well.

The only reservations that I had was that it was very difficult to dampen
the pump mounting points to eliminate noise when it was running.
