"To improve rocker lubrication , plug the rocker vent hole so that oil
is forced through the rocker bush instead of out through the top. An
external oil line is not recommended as this could be dangerous for
the rest of the engine if too much oil went to the rockers and not
enough to the main bearings etc. This could also increase oil
consumption if the valve guides are worn".

Collective wisdom on plugging the vent ??
<

I think the purpose of the vent hole (the teeny tiny hole in the top of
each rocker) is squirt oil on the other contact points in the valve
train (ie. the pushrod-rocker contact point and the rocker-valve
stem contact point). Plugging the vent holes may increase the
oil at the bush at the expense of the other wear points.

Personal opinion: don't do it. Enough is sufficient and the bushings
have enough (unless something else is wrong).

Cheers

Dave
