The Strombergs are less sensitive to this but as you say you may have to
recenter the jet.  The piston rides up and down in the cover on the dashpot
bores and you may have to keep the piston and covers together as pairs. 
But it is possible that the manufacturing tolerances are good enough that
you can swap them around.

The diaghrams are fully interchangable.

Also check that the springs are both there.
