Michael,
My best guess is the slip joints in the back axles.
This is a simple fix. Buy two new boots to fit
over the slip joints and wire or zip ties to hold
them in place. When you have the stuff, remove
the wheel and brake drum. The bearing and hub
are held in place with six nuts on studs. After
you cut away the old boots, you can pull the hub
and half the axle out. Clean and grease the slip
joint and replace with the new boot. It's amazing
how much better the car feels when the axle slip
joints are working.
