Joe,
    The gearbox on the GT6 sits approximately 2.5 inches further back in the 
GT6. Checking in the John Kipping catalogue suggests that on non-overdrive cars 
the Spitfire I-IV takes a 41.25" propshaft while a GT6 takes a 38.75" propshaft,
