Hi Chris:

I'm pretty sure that the lobe that works the oil pump in the O/D is also
part of the shaft not just keyed on. But I'm going to clam up in favour of
those who actually know what they're talking about. It's been a while since
I played with the innards of my transmission.

Cheers,

Mark

Oops :-)

It should have read : AFAIK the o/d mainshaft is a bit SHORTER than
the non-o/d shaft. So, just a wild guess, but it would seem possible to cut
the non-o/d shaft to the appropriate length and cut new splines. Am I
missing something?

Kind regards.

Hi Chris:

How do you propose to cut a shorter shaft to a longer length? :^)
