Some do- But you usually won't find them at Pep Boys, Auto Zone or any other
chain store. One of the best in South Jersey was old Henry MacBride in
Berlin. Had "Henry's Auto Parts" from 1946 to 1990 or so- sold out to ABC
Discount Auto Parts when they moved into the area(got rid of their
competition). He KNEW anything automitive, and was a real neat guy to talk
with. Had a permanent cigar in place... Passed away a few years back- Still
miss wandering in for some odd bit for my old Jeep and spending a couple
hours jawjacking and leaning on the counter. All he needed was a cracker
barrel and checkerboard. That store was cool, too- displays from 40's and
50's through what was then current, genuine antique Coke machine, a wood
floor so well worn in places it was almost like a furrowed field between the
shelves. Old 1900's store front with the two wide windows flanking an inset
door way with angled glass entryway, and three steps up. His office
reflected the same stagnation of decor- stopped about 1960... I remember a
great wall chart with pics of all the Ford Model A, AA and Trucks from the
30's... Like a second home...
