Dear Angelo,

"Off-side" means that half of the car most likely to get hit by 
something coming the other way.   "Near-side" means that half of the car 
most likely to strike pedestrians.   "On-side" means that there are at 
least two defenders (including the goalie) between you and the 
goal-mouth when the pass is kicked.
