For bigger items at home, it appears that the cost-effective way is to use one 
of those larger infrared heaters. But it takes a lot of time and attention 
pl;us the initial expense of the heaters. I would opt for doing my own 
blasting (and maybe taping -- talk to the fellow doing the work) and send the 
work out.
