Hello list ,IMHO,that drill sharpener cost would be better off spent on one
good quality bench grinder ,properly mounted(no vibration),with double
wheels, one wheel carbide, the other for high speed steel, buy drills HSS(high
speed steel) Then learn to sharpen by hand with proper eye protection, a
coolant can real close ,so not to let the bit burn& take the hardness out off
the drill> with the proper relief and point ,all done by hand ,you will be
good to go. And if it does not cut the first time,go back & try again, because
you kept the bit from burning ,its not that difficult? Learn to watch the
chip(s) as swirl from the bit ,both flutes sides should cut the same, meaning
equal size chip from both flutes. Know a machinist,10 to 15 minutes ,hands on
instruction ,you should to be to go ,remember drilling by hand most times
require a center punch to get an accurate hole location The carbide wheel
could be used to sharpen carbide tipped lathe tools(same tech) ,or replaced
with a buffer for polishing,or wire wheel for rust removal ? anyways my 2cents
Thanks Randy

0 stamped on each individual bit, they should last a life time, resharpen, as
needed,of course ,too much pressure will break any bit, lube with any oil, With
proper eye protection, and cool can close by those bits should last numerous
years,
