Hmmm.  Phil's situation made me go look at mine.  I can't get
any work done today on the Midget because we are having
50 mph winds - tons of airborn dust - and the garage door
would be a sail.

Anyway, I looked at my steering shaft where it goes on to
the pinion. Cute!  Somebody along the line has had the shaft
off and when they put it back, they must have not had the
slot lined up. It looks like they couldn't get the bolt all the way
in so they forced it and then cut it off. Charming!

Guess I'll have to drill the damned thing out and put a new
pin in as Peter suggests. I'll do it before I put the engine back
in.

One MORE interuption to getting this car back on the road!
