Paul -- Since it sounds like you are planning to use the electric fan as
a 'helper' fan with a stock 4-blade in place, you might consider just
having a manual switch instead of a thermoswitch.
That is what I do... guess I think I'm smarter than a thermostat 'cause
I can flip it on when I can see the engine is going to need it (stopped
traffic, long mountain grade coming up, etc) before the temp gauge
starts to climb.
