This reminds me of the floor mats that were in my Z-car. They were about
3/4" thick and very comfortable. The mat had a cutout under the pedal to
allow for throttle movement and the pedal tended to get stuck under the edge
of the mat. I have to tell you that it is very disconcerting when it happens
and you have to make an instantaneous decision.

As pretty as they were, the driver's side mat went in the garbage because it
was hazardous to my health.
