I think you are on to something with the speedo unit itself. Keep in mind that besides the tire and rear-end factor, there are also different transmission ratios and also different speedometer driven

I don't believe that's true. I had an O/D tranny put back in my 6 (the original one having disappeared somewhere along the line) and kept the same speedo with the same in/accuracy I had before. The

When I saw the subject line for this I thought someone was selling (or modelling?) Speedo swimsuits with Spitfires on them. Judging by the recent birthday threads, that would not be a pretty picture.
