About 20 years ago I had a similar problem with a rocker arm assembly on my 56 235. After replacing the destroyed assembly, I fabricated a line tee-ing off of the oil pressure guage line, and it work

One other option to prep chrome or any other metal for adhesion: a micro sandblaster that looks sort of like an airbrush. Sandblasting pattern area is a little over a millimeter. They cost about $100
