Check the archives. I would go with the Pertronix (I have the Crane). I doubt it would help with the tach. Again, check the archives, there is an issue with ballast vs. no ballast coils. I don't know

There is a company that liquidates Sears returns (I guess). They are selling amongst other things the Sears adjustable timing light for $24. A member of my Fiat Forum got his and was very satisfied.
