Jay, Your '71 should have a 3.9:1 rear end. You could use the later 3.7:1 from a late Midget, but I wouldn't recommend longer than that. 1st gear would probably get awfully long and it would be hard

Hi Toby, He is probably talking about the front coil springs. 500lbs is ridiculous. Stock springs are 271 lbs, sport springs typically are 1" lower and around 340lbs. I wouldn't go much stiffer than
