i received my "new" 1979 tr7 last saturday. decided to repack the front bearings. i removed the dust caps and found the dustcaps were "packed" with a blue / grey grease!!! after digging all that out,

Packing the dust cap is an old-timers trick for greasing the wheel bearings. The idea is that the grease will be drawn into the bearing from the cap. Used it once on my VW bug when I heard a little b
