The cardboard pad is called a firewall insulation pad and made in fiberglass and sold by most vendors. It was also made in ABS rubber but last time I checked I was told this type was discontinued for

The insulation on the firewall is called the "firewall insulator pad". The pad can be installed with the cab intact but you wiould need to remove everything( wiring & heater) from under the dash. I
