Three quarter ton and larger trucks had the parking brake lever mounted to/through the floor. Half ton trucks had the brake _lever_ mounted to the bottom of the dash on the driver's side. ;) You know

I think any year 8-lug will work. One main difference is the size of stuf holes. Early trucks may have 1/2" stud holes, most later have 5/8" maybe. That might only be for one-tons though as I just we
