It probably is better if you take the fan extension off and find a suitable shorter bolt to hold the damper assembly on. That way, you could mount the electric fan on the back side of the radiator,

It is not as easy as that. If you want to mount the fan behind the radiator, the the crankshaft extension has to be cut down to 1.25", and the crankshaft pulley bolt shorted to 2.5". Rethread the bo

My 75 TR6 now has a 14inch electric fan mounted behind the radiator. I have removed the fan shaft extension and replaced it with a spacer washer. Just a simple nut and washer will not hold the dampe
