On Tilton's website it says: "If the vehicle has a dual master cylinder brake system then both systems must be bled simultaneously". What does this mean and exactly how would one go about doing that?

Think about it, you won't be able to pedal bleed your system if half your system is applying pedal brake pressure. I think that's what they mean. Alan

Hi Michael, I would guess it means that you can't get a full stroke on the cylinder that you are bleeding if the other cylinder is not free to bottom also. With two hoses attached, open two bleed scr

With a dual circuit, if you are bleeding one of the circuits only, you will not be able to depress the brake pedal because the other independent circuit will still be holding pedal pressure. Dual ci

It4s just like someone already described. If you only bleed one circuit, the master cylinder of the other circuit wont bottom out, which in turn will prevent the master cylinder of the circuit that

Perry and all-- I understand the concept but I can't figure out the practice. If one system covers the two front brakes will I need TWO helpers--one to step on the brakes and the other to bleed the r

No, you are not quite right. No dual circuit system would have one circuit for the left side and one for the right... not only would this be a pain in the ass to run pipes, it would be very very very

The purpose of the dual circuit is so that either the front brakes or rear brakes would continue to work even if one of the two circuits breaks and loses pressure. So you would need one helper to hel

Actually Michael it is not that complicated. I use a Tilton dual master cylinder system on AHX12 and can easily bleed the brakes alone using 2 bleed tubes, one on a rear caliper bleed screw and the o

Can you set this up the way modern cars do: two lines from the master cylinder to the proportioning valve, then the left front/right rear gets one line, and the right front/left rear gets the other?
