I had a good experience with a HIF6 on my 1380. Worked well. I ended up ditching it when I up'd the spec on the engine from hot road to race/rally (266 cam to about 296, longman GT6 head to full race

Obviously the differences Frank and Mike are experiencing are due to the direction, clockwise or counter-clockwise that the fuel swirls in the float chamber. AFAIK, IMHO,.... TTFN good night Irene --

They are nearly identical in size but have many differences. The 44 is a metric 1 3/4, and the 38 is the same 1 1/2 (your 1 3/8 must be a mis type). Some of the HIF44 are special for the turbo applic
