Walt, also make sure the needle is properly seated and centered, the throttle plate or butterfly properly aligned so it closes and that nothing in the linkage or choke adjustment/fast idle is keeping

I had a similar problem with my HD6 carbs after rebuilding. It turned out that on one carb the throttle disc wasn't able to close completely. Sorted that and the problem was gone. Cheers Rick

There is no way to isolate the two carbs. How do you know 1 carb won't let you idle down? For one thing, on HD6 carbs, the throttle screw is not for idle adjustment. You need to disconnect the link b
