Can't say if a lighter viscosity oil would cause problems in a TR engine vs. new equipment. I would assume climate would play a part. I run 20W/50 Castrol in my new engine (in CT) and will change to

I guess my question would be why bother? And I have heard the same stories about synth. and high mileage engines, and seals etc.... anecdotal hearsay...not admissable... If it made it over 100K miles

I prefer Purolator PureONE filters... PL20195 is the one that fits the TR6 spin-on conversion. Or just go to any auto store and ask for the filter that fits any recent Ford Focus 2.0 SOHC, all model
