- To all interested parties Harbor Freight is located in Camarillo, CA. and is only a few miles from my house. I've gone there many times to buy tools and stuff. Most of their really inexpensive stuff

- I have the Hobart 135. It is 115V will weld with or without gas and is reasonably priced. The guts are made by Lincoln or Miller I forget which but this unit is much cheaper without one of those name

- I have a Lincoln SP100, the forerunner to the current SP135 Plus. It has continuously variable voltage and is configured for gas welding. I note that it is now packaged with the gauge, etc. About $60

- My thanks to all that responded to this question. I think I will postpone this purchase until Harbour Frieght runs the Hobart welder on sale ...like they did last fall...and I will buy the best 115 v
