- I've had 2 '77s and one '78-never found any evidence of insulation or jute or any such animals (nor in an ex-boyfriends '78 either.) Should I run up to the valley and check out the GT6? ;-) Laura G.

- Triumph didnt fit any noise or insulation under the carpets as standard, disregarding the carpet moulded backing. The conspiracy theory would outline that triumph claim that they obviously dont want

- Actually according to factory specs, the 5/8" padding under the carpets is actually an oil absorbant filtration device to store all the oil that leaks past the tunnel cover. ;) -Vegaman Dan -66/69 Sp
