- There is a screw on the top of the box with a locknut on it. Loosen locknut then tighten screw down a little bit and it will take some of the slop out of the center part of the steering. Do NOT tigh

- The shop manual says that about 1/2" of steering play is acceptable. If adjusting the steering box doesn't seem to do much, you might also check the nut that holds the steering wheel on the shaft. Wh
