Just installed new sun visors from TRF, and they are too loose on the rod. They won't stay in position. Did I do something wrong (again), or is this (another) common problem? Anyone know a fix, other

Mike, the visors have a metal sleeve inside designed to friction-hold their position on the rod. Make sure you didn't miss the sleeve when you inserted the rod into the visor. Mark Creamer 6-PACK Mem

Mike--Sometimes it's necessary to squeeze the metal tubes inside of the visor to make it snug on the rod. If you can't feel the sleeves (near each end) you can cut apart your old visors for a look. Y

I put new visors on using the old rods as well a few weeks ago. The old ones stayed up fine, just looked bad. I noticed that when I extracted the rods were bent slightly - so before installing in my

The rod is slipping in the sleeve. Here's what I did with good results. Essentially, you have to pinch the sleeve in a couple of spots to create a snug fit for the rod. This will allow adjustment of

It's a nice 35 degree day in the Boston area so I decided to take the 6 out for a spin. The car ran great and the even better the heater worked great to. After getting home I decided to tackle one of

Jim, I bought a pair a while back. There is (I think) a metal sleeve inside the visor where they mount, and the pivoting steel pin that attaches to the top of your windshield area slides into that sl

Jim--As Mark said, there is a metal sleeve (maybe two, I don't recall) inside each visor. This sleeve can be 'pinched' to make the rod tighter, thus keeping it in the desired position. I would recomm
