While we are on this subject, I happen to have a wire-wheeled 1970 Midget that I rescued from the crusher. The pumpkin is gone. The engine would make a good core, but it would probably need rebuilt.

Will the wire-wheel halfshafts work in the Bugeye rear axle? Enquiring minds just like to be sure. MM seems to indicate the same part # for the axles, but a different part # for the "extensions". I
