Have you given any thought to the 205/55-16 size?  I realize it's a bit
shorter than stock (almost exactly one inch), but there is TONS of
selection of tires in this size, since it's very popular on new
sports/sporty cars.

I bought Panasports just a couple months before the 16" size came out. 
Bastards!  I'm running 205/65-15, and am very happy with them.  But I
agree, the 16" size looks nice.  However, I wonder what the difference
in weight is between the two wheel/tire combos.  It's quite possible
that the 15" option is lighter and would get you around the
track/autocross quicker.  It's an interesting debate: lower unsprung
weight versus shorter sidewalls...
