I use the angle grinder type Makita 9227C variable speed buffer, the other
units you refer to are polishers.
If you color sand I don't think a polisher has the power to do the job.
I use a Makita 9227C it is what the pros use. I painted my 6 myself and buffed
the clear
with the 9227C. You will be surprised what 8 hrs of buffing will do for tired
paint.
