John,

We did mine a while back...it's pretty much welded
from where you see.  You should be able to grind off
the edges.  You may have to chisel some, but it
shouldn't give you too much trouble.  Mine needed some
of the frame rail sections replaced.

You should NOT need any frame jigs, but if you want to
make sure it doesn't move weld some angle iron across
the frame rail sections.

I believe Moss carries the replacement sections or CTM
Engineering(UK).
