In my case both hoses (radiator and more recently the thermostat housing
to rail heater hose) had a pinhole, the heater hose more so than the
radiator hose. Generally my car is parked in a garage at night, so I
don't think animals are the cause. FWIW the remaining green hoses feel
"wimpy" or soft especially when hot, at least compared to my other cars.
This may not a good description, its just an observation.

I ran the green hoses on my street car for years with no probs. I

had one of the first batch of the repro-unit from TRF. After about 30k
miles, they started to split on the ends, but I never had a leak.
The initial post indicated that the hoses leaked, but was unspecific as
to
how they were leaking. I bring this up because I have had various hose
leaks over the years on several cars and the most common reason was from
either claw marks or clumsy mechanics (or both). Cats and squirrels seem
to like sleeping under the bonnet when it gets cool outside at night.
