James---To see where the problem lies it's necessary to look at this all
around. If both door glass' hit the windshield frame when at their full
height, it's possible that the w/s frame peg bolts are bent, or, if you
just need a little more vertical pitch to the w/s, loosen up the bolts
that secure it. See if there's enough movement now, to get a better fit
with the door glass. If so, tighten the w/s frame bolts/nuts in this new
position.
Know at by doing this, the top may not now be easily latched, which
means this will have to be dealt with sooner or later. (Need a new top)?

If only ONE door glass hits at the top, then also know that there is
some adjustment in the three bolts that hold the window glass frame in
place. It may be necessary to undercut the bolt shanks to get some extra
clearance. Again, this is a bandaid for something else being out of
whack.

The front edge of the door glass should very closely follow the pitch of
the w/s frame as you roll up the glass. The top edge of the door glass
should also follow the lines of the top's brackets at the Velcro strips.

For sure, Triumph didn't engineer these cars so that their windows
couldn't be rolled up all the way without hitting the frame.
Something's changed on your car, which makes it fun to figure it out!

ok.
i posted under the subject of adjusting windows... i got one reply, but
thought i would ask the list... ....do other people have issue with
their windows hitting the windsheild frame when the windows are rolled
all the way up and then trying to shut the door?
surely there is something that can be done. short of shimming the
w/s...which would cause the seal
to be lifted and rain to leak in.
maybe i am out of luck...thoughts?
i did recently take the w/s off - put on a new seal...and tightened
everything down...
seems to be a little more dramatic where the w/s and dorr window meet.
DOH! i will try to tight further now that the seal has been on and
stretched a little.
regardless, the windows always hit the w/s corner. i heard that the
windows are not really
adjustable. i seem to remember this too.
i'm in a tight spot!
