Mike,

My float sank to the bottom about a month ago so I'm in the same boat. I
have a spare original plastic one, but I wonder if the new 10% ethanol fuel
is somehow making the plastic brittle. Anyway, I was told on another forum
that Ford part COAZ9202-B (for an 80s Ranger Pick up truck) will work. I
haven't gotten one yet, but a Google search got multiple hits. Apparently
this one is made of brass.

Has anyone else had their plastic float visit Davey Jones locker since the
ethanol introduction?
