Coker owns the redline molds, but they're located at the Michelin plant in
South Carolina. Michelin makes them for Coker and the tires have to comply
with all current regs, including date stamps. Interestingly, the red is
from the casing and the outer wrap covers all but the red stripe. If you were
to scrape the sidewall you'd see progressively more red.
Check the date stamps and replace any tires that are too old. You can still
buy the redlines, but the technology is from the 70s, so you're getting
style over ride. If anyone needs help reading the date codes, you can call
Michelin or Coker for help.
