It has been interesting seeing the ages of TR6 owners and reminds me
of a conversation I had with John Johnson (president emeritus of
Buckeye Triumphs) when I took over as president this year, as well as
a topic in Mike Cook's last article for Hemmings Sports and Exotics -
how to get the next generation interested in Triumphs. I think
Kendall and I are the youngest owners on the list (I'm 34). Do we
have anyone younger?
Since some are posting how they got into TR6s, I'll add my story. My
father owned a 75 TR6 until I was about 5 years old. It was his daily
driver and man do I have fond memories of riding in that car,
listening to "All the Gold In California" on the 8-Track player. He
sold it to the lady across the street when my little sister was born,
but we just found out earlier this year that she still has it (and I'm
hoping we can buy it back some day).
