I recently reupholstered my Alpine III and noticed that my old door trims
contained metal reinforcing bits near where the quarter window is. I thought
at the time this was a bit weird and must have been a DPO thing. My DPO was
renowned for doing weird stuff.
Anyway yesterday I was about to toss the old trims because they're beyond
use for anything when I noticed that these metal bits seem to be
manufactured parts, not just workshop scraps as I would have expected. So
now I'm curious. Can anyone tell me if these bits are supposed to be there?
