TSB 09-05-96 illustrates the difference between the molding flash and the
structural part of the mount, to illustrate that a true failure is a crack
in the thick V in the middle, not in the thin parts on either side of it.

The TSB does not list a replacement part.  The original part(s) are 
unchanged as far as I know.

It sounds like we agree it breaks under normal driving and fails in a
way that the owner can easily be ignorant of it.  

I've broken motor mounts in other cars, but they lasted at least 4 times 
as long, both time and miles.  They broke from old age more than abuse, I'd
say.
