Hot and humid? Definitely. Tropical storm threats? Houston maybe.
Dallas, not at all.

That may be overstated. Here's a list of somewhat mid-country places and
times that are significantly less likely to be impacted rain (1/8 chance to
1/2 chance). Now I have no idea if any of them have a site that could
support 1000 autox'ers, BUT if lack of rain should be a top criteria,
someone should look. Topeka rains 1 day out of every 4, and rains almost
an inch per week. Odds are good that most years will be impacted by rain.
Pueblo gets a light (.2") afternoon shower once a week. Odds are good
there will be no real impact most years. (Of course, it has the 4600'
altitude impact every year -- whatever impact that is.)

How about the above stats for summer months for Santa Fe. Seems
like a good candidate, but for some odd reason Yahoo doesn't have
