The people you might need to B&M'ing to is yourself and your local region for
not petitioning to have an event yourselves, except for one fact: it's still
fairly early and the schedule is most likely not set in stone yet. Changes
or additions could be forthecoming, but then again, maybe not.
However, if you do go to all the trouble to locate a quality site,
politically convince the local region to host a National level event, and
then propose it to the National Office, it would be nice if the powers to be
would at least be considerate enough to respond to your inquiries regarding
the status of your proposal (let alone the original proposal), unless of
course their goal is to generate an attitude of "Why bother?". (hint,hint)
Seems like suitable sites in good demographic proximity are tough enough to
find without turning people off from attempting to contribute.
