Up until last year, ProSolo entries were capped at 200
drivers. Last year's Harrisburg event had a waiting list,
and I know a local driver that was on it. Imagine booking
a hotel for the weekend and driving to an event when you
don't have a confirmation that you can even run! In the
end, he made the trip, they stretched the field to
accomodate everyone on the waiting list that showed, and
then he self-destructed [in my opinion] because the hassle
of getting into the event kept him from mentally preparing
to drive the event.

The ProSolo series has two different types of drivers: license
holders and regional entrants. License holders are in it
for the points, travel to 2-4 ProSolos each year, and
[obviously] spend the $55 for the ProSolo license. Regional
entrants run a ProSolo when it's in their neighborhood,
whether it's just to see what ProSolo is all about or just
because they don't/can't travel to other ProSolo events.
Some are the core-workers for the hosting region, and
they are vital to making the event run.

How would you propose to limit entries??? Would it be
fair to have a class championship decided because someone
entered too late or had their original entry form lost
in the mail? Obviously, the ProSolo license holders
should receive first priority in registering. After that,
my feeling is that the core workers should be next
on the list, and finally the regional drivers if there's
any spots left. This still leaves people hanging, which
is a bad thing. Anybody else have an opinion or better
way to cap a ProSolo event?????
