The spec tire for legends was the BFG Comp T/A HR4 in a 205/60R13 a tire
that you could certainly get at Discount Tire. Inexpensive, long lasting
tires was one of the goals of the creators of the Legends.

I don't know what the current spec tire is, but it is probably a street
tire.

I never paid that much attention to what kind of tires they run but if they
are Legend spec then they are tires that are designed for the track as was
the car. In any case I don't think it would be the kind of tire you can buy
at Discount Tire.

My point is that the P in EP has always been intended to mean production,
until this year the rule book said words to the effect that these classes
were to be production based cars. This was changed for the Legend and Baby
Grand cars, both of which are race car, never production based.

As far as not being fair to put these in Mod, I don't see the difference
between this and putting say an early 80's BMW 323 in Mod just because it
was not sold through dealers in US.

Look at all the chatter on the net about how stock cars are classed, in many
cases the answer is we had to put them somewhere. In the case of the Baby
Grands and Legends the goal seem to be we have to put them somewhere where
they can win. If we don't do that then nobody will buy them and autocross
them.

In 98 some were done as "demo" at Nationals, one was in trophy position, as
I recall this was done by a driver that had not had much time in this car.
In any case it looks like it didn't work, how many have you see at regionals
or division or NT, I recall one and I do 3-4 events per month. It looks like
F125 Karts (anybody want to make a bet on how many will show at Nationals
this year?).

Legends cars run on street tires in their own classes. The original guy
said full legends specs. I'm assuming he meant tires as well. Puttin them
in mod would be....unfair classing ;)

Why not Mod with the other custom built
