A muffler on a two cycle expansion chamber requires some engineering to
ensure that no performance is lost; and the cold weather nor the short time
frame are conducive to accomplishing this. And the fact that this would be
the ONLY event where sound control is required (including Topeka Nationals)
that I would be faced with swings the pendulum towards not going to this one
event. I could test with a sound meter up in Atlanta, get "good" readings
and then go 9 hours to the west coast of Florida 900 feet lower in altitude
and still get bounced - nope, don't think so.
